Highway 406 in St. Catharines re-opens following collision

The southbound lanes of Highway 406 in St. Catharines re-opened just before 5pm yesterday following a two vehicle collision. The southbound lanes were closed from Westchester to Glendale because of the collision, which occured around 9:30 Thursday morning. A 59 year–old woman, who was the only person in one vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The male driver of the second vehicle involved was also taken to hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
