With another Niagara IceDogs season come and gone, all eyes within the future are looking ahead.
Co-owner of the IceDogs Darren DeDobbelaer says they’ve got their sights set on hosting a Memorial Cup in the future.
DeDobbelaer notes that the on-ice product needs to be up to par to have a successful bit, but he’s confident in the young core of the team. When looking at the more immediate future, DeBobbelaer says they’ve already done lots of homework ahead of April’s OHL Priority Selection.
DeDobbelaer adds that he’s very happy with a lot of the off-ice pieces the team has, including the coaching staff.
The OHL will hold its draft lottery tonight, which will determine where the IceDogs will select in the Priority Selection. The IceDogs finished 20th out of 20 teams in the OHL.
