Police say a man that was reported missing in October has been found.
On October 29th, police reported that Jamaican national Alpachino Mignott hadn’t been heard from in several days. Mignott was in Canada for a rugby event in Brampton when he went missing, and was last seen in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Police say he has been located and his family has been notified but did not comment on his condition.
The Jamaica Star reported last month that his mother had been notified of a body found in the Niagara River near Buffalo in November, that was wearing a rugby uniform and had a matching tattoo. A GoFundMe that has been setup for his mother, who was in Canada helping for the search of her son, states that the DNA was confirmed to be Alpachino this week.
In the fundraiser, which has now raised over $2600, the organizer states that police say no foul play is suspected, and that money raised from the fundraiser would help bring his body back to Jamaica. Donations can be made here.
