An inquest into the death of a man who died at the Niagara Detention Centre has a date.
The inquest into the death of 22-year-old Jordan Case, who died in December 2018 at the jail, will begin next Monday, January 20th. Dr. Richard McLean will be the presiding officer and Phillip Tsui will be the inquest counsel.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Case’s death, while was ruled an overdose. Five other men died at the Niagara Detention Centre between 2018 and 2022 from drug overdoses.
The inquest is expected to last seven days and hear from 11 witnesses.
