The Ontario government is now offering rebates for some home renovations, in an attempt to improve energy efficiency in homes across the province.
Energy and Electrification Minister Stephen Lecce unveiled a new rebates program this week as part of the government’s 12-year, $11-billionenergy efficiency plan.
The plan includes rebates of up to 30% for home renovation projects like replacing windows or doors or installing smart thermostats.
Later in the year, the program is set to expand to energy-efficient applicants like refrigerators or freezers.
