Reaction is pouring in from around the Niagara Region – including from Liberal MP Chris Bittle.
In a statement yesterday, Bittle says he wasn’t surprised that Trudeau resigned, and that he’s glad Trudeau took the advice that was given to him by others.
Bittle ended the statement by says he remains committed to representing the people of St. Catharines, keeping their needs and concerns at the forefront of his work in Parliament. He emphasizes that, while leadership may be changing, the Liberal Party’s values of progress, unity, and commitment to the future will continue to guide its mission.
The new leader, Bittle believes, will build upon the party’s past achievements, carry forward the work of serving Canadians, and navigate the path to a future marked by positive change.
Bittle’s full statement can be read here.
