A Lincoln man has been charged after a crash involving an empty school bus yesterday evening.
Just after 6:00pm, Niagara Regional Police were called to Fly Road after reports of an SUV and an empty school bus colliding head on. The driver of the bus suffered minor injuries, while the SUV driver was brought to an out-of-region hospital for serious injuries.
The SUV driver, 29-year-old Joseph Fuca, has been charged with dangerous driving and impaired driving as a result, and will appear in court. Roads in the area reopened just before midnight.
Police originally believed Fuca’s injuries to be life-threatening, but his condition was upgrade to ‘serious’ last night.
