OPP: Truck driver has died after crash that closed QEW in Fort Erie

Ontario Provincial Police says the driver of a tractor trailer has died after a crash yesterday on the QEW in Fort Erie.

Police were called to the crash just after 8:00am, which resulted in the closure of the highway for most of the day, while ORNGE Air Ambulance was called to treat the driver.

OPP say the victim was a 54-year-old from Rockwood. The highway eventually fully reopened just after 6:00pm.
