St. Catharines has completed its fifth park renewal project this summer, part of a $3-million investment aimed at improving accessibility and recreation.
New inclusive playgrounds, multi-use courts for tennis, basketball, and ball hockey, along with accessible walkways and benches, were added.
Recent re-openings include St. Patrick’s, Valleyview, Louis Avenue, Elma Street, and Port Dalhousie Lions parks.
Additional upgrades are planned for Community Park, Burgoyne Woods, and Alex Mackenzie Park.
Mayor Mat Siscoe emphasized the city’s commitment to ensuring recreational opportunities for all residents.
