Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into a motorcycle collision in Fort Erie on Friday.
Police say just after midnight, two motorcycles went speeding past a Niagara Regional Police officer in Port Colborne and collided with one another after the officers attempted a traffic stop.
One male rider was airlifted to an out of region hospital, while the other was treated for minor injuries. The SIU has invoked their mandate, as they do whenever there’s death, serious injury, sexual assault or a firearm being discharged.
