Bus fares across the Niagara Region will all be in line with one another in the near future.
Transit commissioners have voted to make all regional bus fees $3.50, starting next Canada Day.
This means the local bus ticket will cost 50 cents more, however the fare to travel from municipality to municipality will be $2.50 cheaper. A report by the Niagara Transit Commission says this new structure should increase revenue by about $350,000 over an entire year.
