Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management students recently shone at two major U.S. beer competitions.
Their Teaching Brewery won three medals at the 2024 U.S. Open College Beer Championship: a gold for Cherry Blawesome Barrel Aged Stout, and silvers for Vindobona Schrammer Vienna Lager and Blonde…James Blonde Belgian Blonde Ale.
Cherry Blawesome also snagged Best in Show, helping the college tie for third place overall.
In addition, the Teaching Brewery earned two more medals at the 2024 U.S. Open Beer Championship: silver for Beer 101 Bitter and bronze for Beer 101 Strong.
Products from the NC Teaching Brewery are available for purchase from the NC Teaching Winery and Teaching Distillery at NC’s Wine + Visitor Education Centre at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
