St. Catharines’ own Kristen Kit has picked up her second Olympic medal – a silver in the Women’s 8s Rowing competition.
The 2024 Paris games are the second Olympics for Kit, who serves as the coxswain for her team after winning gold in the same event a tthe 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Canadian boat finished second in the final with a time of 5:58.84, four seconds behind the gold-medal winning Romanian boat.
Kit began rowing in St. Catharines in 2002, after her grandfather was the advisor that started a rowing team at her high school when she was in Grade 9.
