Ontario Provincial Police investigated a fatality on the Toronto-bound Queen Elizabeth Way in Niagara early Thursday morning. Police say that at approximately 2:50 a.m., officers were called to a collision between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian at Ontario Street in Beamsville. An 18-year-old from Lincoln was pronounced deceased at the scene. The highway was closed for approximately 7 hours for the investigation.
