Niagara Regional Police says 13 people have been charged with impaired driving in the last week locally, eight of them from the Niagara Region.
Of the 13 charged, 4 were from Niagara Falls, while another 3 are from St. Catharines. Others charged were from Lincoln, Brampton, Red Deer, Maple and Jamestown, New York.
Police remind everyone that impaired driving continues to be the leading cause of criminal deaths in Canada.
