Cogeco is investigating a widespread internet outage over the weekend.
On Saturday morning, crews found that three major wires in the Hamilton region were spliced, leading to outages across Hamilton and into the Niagara Region.
It’s believed someone climbed up a tree to cut them, while nearly 183 fiberoptic cables in total were damaged.
