May is cystic fibrosis awareness month.
CF is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. There is no cure. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, degenerative multi-system disease that affects mainly the lungs and digestive system.
Jeremy Hall knows the dread of disease too well, as his nine-year-old daughter Avril was diagnosed with it. He tells us why awareness around the disease is so important.
This past weekend across Ontario was the ‘Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History’, with donations being raised throughout the province.
