A stretch of Highway 406 will see a speed limit increase.
The Ontario government announced the speed limit will raise from 100 km/h to 110km/h on ten stretches of highway around the province, including the 406.
The highway’s limit will increase this summer between Thorold and Welland, a 13-kilometre stretch to end the highway.
Also seeing speed increases across Ontario is stretches of Highways 401 and 403, as well as Highway 69 in Sudbury.
In 2019, the speed limit was increased to 110 km/h on the QEW between Hamilton and St. Catharines as well.
