Niagara Regional Police detectives, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal, are investigating a fire in Port Colborne.
Monday around 2:00pm, emergency crews responded to the blaze at a home near McCain Street and Fielden Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man on the roof, as well as a female resident, before crews extracted another male still inside the home. He was brought to hospital in critical but stable condition.
The estimated damage to property is in excess of $250,000.
Update #1 (Wednesday): Niagara Regional Police say the man that was brought to hospital has succumbed to his injuries.
