Earlier this month, the Niagara Regional Police Human Trafficking Unit launched a project to target individuals using the internet to solicit young people for sexual services.
Between January 31 and February 3, NRPS detectives, along with the Ontario Provincial Police and other agencies, arrested 13 individuals at a Niagara Falls hotel.
Eleven of the accused can now be identified due to a review of the publication ban:
- Saurabh Rudani (31 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Allan Choi (51 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Edmar Caraang (52 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Jeet Patel (25 yrs.) Thorold
- Sivayogan Thanagnanam (50 yrs.) Thorold
- Nurdin Gulled (23 yrs.) Welland
- Ahan Shukla (22 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Kyle Marsh (33 yrs.) Windsor
- Marc Doucet (44 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Feroz Khan (37 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Jamten Jamyangling (27 yrs.) Niagara Falls
They’ve all been charged with:
- Luring a Child for the Purpose of Obtaining Sexual Services
- Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from a Person Under 18 Years
- Invite / Counsel, Sexual Exploitation of a Young Person
The arrested males were held in custody and attended video bail hearings.
