The Niagara Falls Exchange is officially opening its doors to the public this weekend.
Senior Manager of Culture for the City of Niagara Falls Clark Bernat says it will be a great community hub.
The project broke ground in 2021 with the vision to be the epicentre of Niagara Falls’ Arts & Culture scene. Bernat says there was a lot of back and forth deciding what the Exchange will look like once it’s opened to the public.
Bernat adds that while the focus will be on residents that live within a 100-mile radius, he could also see it serving as a tourist attraction for others outside of that area as well. Either way, he says it will benefit local producers.
The brand-new, 10,000 square foot facility will officially open on February 17 with an Open House event, featuring art installations, live music, activities and vendors.
Free, on-site parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. An additional 90 street parking spaces are available near The Exchange.
While the grand-opening is February 17th, Bernat says the Farmers’ Market will officially open at its new, permanent home at The Exchange later this Spring. You can learn more about the space here.
