With groundhog day come and gone, more groundhogs near us are calling for an early start to spring, but what do human weather experts think?
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Phillips says it’s felt like spring recently in the Niagara region.
Phillips says it’s felt like spring already for most of winter.
He adds that while groundhog day is a fun tradition each year, you shouldn’t take it too seriously when planning for the remainder of winter.
Locally, Fenwick Flossie did not see their shadow on Friday, signaling an early Spring.
