More than $65-million has been invested in manufacturing locally, including over $6-million from the provincial government.
Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli says this will result in 46 new, good-paying jobs.
Fedeli says these investments show that manufacturers are confident in the economy.
The recipients in the Niagara Region include Stanpac Inc. in Smithville ($3.3-million), which manufactures dairy, food and beverage packaging, AMSI Inc. in Beamsville ($2.1-million), which is known for a number of industries including power generation, and St. David’s Cold Storage ($1.3-million), who plans to create the first CO2-based refrigerant systems in the country.
