Police are investigating after a fuel tanker rolled over on the QEW Niagara-bound this morning near Beamsville.
OPP had closed the QEW in both directions from Ontario Street and Victoria Avenue. Police say that there were no serious injuries as a result, but that the driver of the truck was taken to hospital.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says there were reports of drivers racing before the collision.
North Service Road and South Service Road are also closed from Tufford Road to Victoria Avenue.
UPDATE #1 10:20am: OPP have reopened the QEW Toronto-bound between Victoria Avenue and Ontario Street.
UPDATE #2 10:40am: OPP are hoping to reopen one Niagara-bound lane shortly, but noted a full reopening will take longer.
UPDATE #3 10:50am: Ontario 511 is reporting another collision at Jordan Road that have closed the Toronto-bound lanes again.
UPDATE #4: 11:45am: Ontario 511 is reporting that two right lanes are closed at Jordan Road Toronto-bound.
