Niagara is set to launch a red-light camera program in late January, targeting drivers running red lights.
The Regional Council approved 10 camera installations at key intersections earlier this year.
Cameras will be tested in the coming weeks, with warning signs placed at intersections. St. Catharines, Fort Erie, Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Pelham, and Welland will each have specific locations for red-light cameras, contributing to the Region’s Vision Zero initiative for road safety.
