ST. CATHARINES – An 18-year-old from St. Catharines has been charged after a shelter-in-place incident at Brock University.
Niagara Police responded to reports of an armed person at a student residence around 6:00 p.m. The suspect, who was not a Brock student, confronted three acquaintances over a dispute, making death threats while holding what seemed like a black handgun. The three unharmed individuals took shelter in a locked dorm. The suspect left, and the order was lifted.
Later, 18-year-old Dante Palumbo was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Harassment, and Uttering Threats, as the gun was found to be a replica airsoft pellet gun.
