Niagara Regional Police began an investigation in April into the distribution of illegal drugs in Niagara Falls. On Wednesday, executed a search warrant inside a trailer on a residential property on Thorold Stone Road near Kalar Road. As a result of the investigation two suspects have been arrested. In total, detectives recovered 24.3 grams of suspected carfentanil and 2.7 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine. In addition, detectives seized one replica rifle, one replica pistol, and $280 of Canadian currency believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.
45 year old Archer Grant Karr of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
-Possession of a Firearm, Weapon, or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
– Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
– Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order
– Fail to Comply with Release Order
49 year old Jodie Lea Powell of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
– Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
– Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
