- Ministry of Transportation Alert – QEW FORT ERIE BOUND FROM SODOM ROAD TO THE BORDER – ALL LANES CLOSED! NO ETA! Roads are impassable.
- City of Niagara Falls – Today, the Gale Centre and Niagara Falls History Museum will be open until 4 p.m. to provide respite from the cold.
- Welland Hydro – reports outage along Morningstar Ave, Dain Ave, Memorial Park Drive and Humberstone Road.
- OPP – STAY HOME, MULTIPLE HIGHWAY CLOSURES ACROSS THE PROVINCE DUE TO EXTREME WINTER WEATHER
- NRPS – NiagParksPolice are asking motorists to avoid south Niagara River Parkway between Chippawa and @TownOfFortErie due to extremely poor visibility with whiteout conditions. @NiagaraParks road crews must pause due to visibility.
- Canadian Niagara Power – Weather conditions have deteriorated with increased snow wind. Crews have temporarily stopped restoration efforts and are sheltering in place safely to rest and wait for conditions to improve. We appreciate your patience as we continue working through this storm together.
- Highway 58 between Forks and Stonebridge Roads in Welland/Port Colborne closed due to an accident
- City of St. Catharines – City facilities are currently closed due to the weather. To report unsafe conditions, downed trees and other roads and sewer issues, call 905.688.5600. Power outages are to be reported to Alectra Utilities at 905.684.8111. Please avoid travel today if you can due to the storm.
- Emergency vehicles are moving around, but roads are being closed off everywhere around Ft Erie.
- NRPS – Weather & road conditions in south #Niagara particularly #FortErie continue to deteriorate to blizzard like conditions. Fort Erie is experiencing road closures due to flooding, trees, and live wires down. We ask that the public avoid non-emergency travel & stay home.
- Buffalo, NY advising lake shore residents to evacuate ahead of expected record seiche. Fort Erie residents asking the waterfront should consider the same if it is safe to do so.

- Welland Hydro – Power outage affecting approximately 320 customers in the area roughly bounded by Fitch St., Wilson Rd., Endicott Terr., and Clare Ave. Crews are repairing a faulted conductor.
- Lake Erie Flood Warning *UPDATE #1* This notice is intended to UPDATE the public and local municipalities of the condition of the Lake Erie Shoreline as it relates to the Niagara Peninsula and the eastern portions of Haldimand County.
- All lifeLabs locations throughout Niagara will be closed at 11AM.
- Fallsview Blvd. From Murray St to Dixon St in Niagara Falls is CLOSED for public safety.
- All St. Catharines public library locations will be closing at Noon.
- Canadian Niagara Power – Update on power #outage across @TownOfFortErie and @PortColborne. Our crews are working to restore power to all impacted customers. Estimated time of restoration TBD.
- Niagara Parks Police Service advising that the Niagara River Parkway between Queen St and Dominion Rd @TownOfFortErie is closed to vehicular traffic. Recreation path also closed due to anticipated flooding. Please avoid the Niagara River shoreline @niagaraparks recreational trail

- A MESSAGE FROM THE PORT COLBORNE FIRE CHIEF – asking residents to be conscious of their surroundings. Please stay off the roads. If you absolutely need to leave your home, use extreme caution. Avoid the Lake Erie shoreline to limit potential issues.
- Niagara Region – We are doing our best to continue with waste collection services; however, due to the high winds, if you are able to bring in your recycling until the next collection cycle, that would be appreciated. The amount of recycling bags allowed to be collected is unlimited.
- Welland Hydro – Power outage affecting approximately 250 customers in the area roughly bounded by Broadway, Santone Ave., St. George St., and Roach Ave. Crews are making repairs to a faulted wire. Estimated restore time 12:30pm.
- Welland Hydro – Power has been restored to the 1150 customers in the area roughly bounded by Woodlawn Rd., First. Ave, Fitch St., and Clare
Ave. - City Hall and other facilities closed as Welland declares significant weather event
- Port Colborne autostation at end of Welland Canal is reporting sustained winds of almost 100 kmh with gusts close to 120 kmh
- Numerous trees and limbs down between Port Colborne and Fort Erie. Metal post of stop sign folded over. Siding and roofing material ripped off homes under construction.
- Highest gust so far 115km/h with sustained winds now 93km/h in Port Colborne.
- Wind sustained at 95km/h with gusts to 116km/h at Port Colborne this morning. Can easily see 130, maybe even 140km/h gusts this evening.
