On August 5, Niagara Regional Police responded to an incident in Niagara-on-the-Lake involving one of their own officers.
Following an altercation between an on-duty constable and a suspect, the Hamilton Police Service was called in to ensure an impartial investigation.
On November 26, Constable Ben Tomiuck, a 23-year veteran of the NRPS, was arrested and charged with assault.
