Greg Maychak has been elected to represent Ward 3 on West Lincoln’s council, winning a by-election to fill the seat left vacant by Councillor Terry Bell, who stepped down due to health concerns.
Maychak received 512 votes, narrowly defeating former mayor Doug Joyner, who garnered 466 votes.
A retired City of Hamilton employee, Maychak moved to Smithville in 2021 and brought his extensive municipal background to the campaign.
