The 50th annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival continues today, tomorrow and Monday – with thousands enjoying live music, crafts and food.
Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority CAO Leilani Lee-Yates says preparations for this event start well before Thanksgiving.
Tonight’s headliner for the festival is country music star Tebey, while Nate Haller will take the stage on Monday to close out the weekend. What started as a one-day craft festival has evolved over the years – with an emphasis also put on local acts Andy Colonico, Evan Burrison and Four Ounce Pour.
Lee-Yates adds that the festival is such a rich tradition for so many because of its wide variety of attractions. She says it’s not rare to see multiple generations coming together.
All proceeds from the festival go back into the NPCA, which preserves conservations areas in Niagara, as well as handles things like flood preparation and awareness. This weekend only, special 50th anniversary merchandise is available at the festival.
