One of Canada’s largest phone providers is gearing up for the total solar eclipse in Niagara Falls next month.
Bell Mobility has already made preparations ahead of the April 8th total solar eclipse, which is expected to draw as many as 1-million people to Niagara Falls to view the spectacle.
Manager of Public Affairs Rachel Jaskula says the phone provider is putting a hold on any maintenance work that can impact capacity leading up to the event, and will also have portable cell-on-wheels units for increased usage in the area.
The last time Niagara Falls found itself in the path of totality for a solar eclipse was 1925, and it’s not expected to happen again until 2144. National Geographic has ranked Niagara Falls as the best location in the world to view the total solar eclipse, which has resulted in lots of people coming to the region.
