Niagara Regional Police say seven people have been charged recently for impaired driving in the Niagara region.
Police say all of the motorists charged have also had their licenses suspended for 90 days, while the vehicle stops were done between January 8th and 14th.
Impaired driving is still the leading cause of criminal deaths in Canada.
In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service reports the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region:
Dmitriy MALIN, 22yrs, Hamilton
Ajay SINGH, 37yrs, Niagara Falls
Vijay MAHARAJ, 36yrs, Toronto
Darrel B. THOMPSON, 62yrs, North Tonawanda, New York
Brandon T. FREDETTE, 66yrs, Gilmour
Harendran PAKUNARAJAH, 44yrs, Brampton
Amanda FERRON, 32yrs, St. Catharines
